Short Film Competition Event

Description

Our annual Short Film Competition returns for the twelfth year showcasing the work of emerging filmmakers from across the continent and the diaspora. This year the shortlist was selected from 380 entries, and the final list includes a range of films, each with a unique style, narrative and voice.

The shortlist was compiled by Master’s students in Film and Television Studies at the University of Glasgow. The winner is selected by our jury of acclaimed film practitioners and academics and will be announced immediately after the screenings. The audience will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite film with the Audience Award winner announced on our website at the end of the festival.

The competition prize is sponsored by the Scottish Documentary Institute.
