Synopsis

A frank look at the dangers put upon those who want to start a new life in Europe. Forced back to Dakar after reaching an Italian migrant detention centre, Sega is forced to reconcile his heartache, guilt, and hope. While visiting his friends and family, he delivers terrible news and begins to plan his journey anew; isolated by his lack of prospects at home and haunted by trauma, Sega looks to discover a way out but is tethered by shame. Winner of Zanzibar International Film Festival’s Short Film Award 2019.
