Synopsis

Mapiko dancer Atanásio Nyusi tells Mozambique’s past and present through dance and storytelling. The documentary explores themes of identity, and loss of identity, through the memories and traces left by colonisation. Nyusi shows us the necessity of movement and dance in our lives, as well as keeping our cultures and traditions alive.
